Better Conversations, Stronger Relationship Building: Partnership Management for Library Staff /Librarians

Libraries rely on strong partnerships to extend their reach, strengthen community engagement, and deliver meaningful programmes and services. This practical workshop equips Library Staff/Librarians  to build sustainable relationships with community partners, effectively, and navigate challenges in collaborative environments.

 

The workshop is anchored on the Soundwave® framework, a sociometric communication tool that helps participants recognise how their preferred conversational ‘voices’ influence the way others think, feel and act. Each participant will complete a Brilliance 3 assessment to identify their three most frequently used voices from the nine-voice model.

 

Through guided practice, role play and reflection, participants will learn to flex less-used voices, avoid passive or accentuated use, and hold more intentional conversations that build trust, credibility and mutual value with community partners.
