This course is highly recommended for new library staff who are required to catalogue library materials with MARC 21 and RDA.

Basic Cataloguing Skills Training Objectives:
- Understand basic library cataloguing concepts
- Understand the format and process of cataloguing
- Apply RDA and utilise online resources for subject classification with Dewey Decimal Classification System (DDC) and Library of Congress Classification (LCC)
- Able to create a basic MARC record for different materials
