Business and Finance Executive / Manager
Library & Archives Solutions Pte Ltd (LAAS) formerly known as Cybrarian Ventures Pte Ltd (CVPL), incorporated in 2000, is a wholly owned company of the National Library Board (NLB) of Singapore. It was created to be the sole distributor of products and services of NLB. The Company plans to reach out to the library industry to exert thought leadership in library innovations, as well as provide assistance to libraries that wish to expand their services and grow their capabilities. It aims to provide productivity tools to reduce the cost of operations for clients, and to enable libraries to embrace digital technology to better serve users.
The Job:
The Business and Finance Executive/Manager report to the General Manager of the Company. He/She will provide end-to-end engagement in the company and development of business opportunities; plays hands-on support role to corporate deals including strategy evaluation, budget and accounts management, preparation of business case & financial proposal to the senior managements and shareholders.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible in budgeting, processing and maintaining records of the company’s financial transactions including assisting the audits of the company’s financial accounts.
- Responsible for business support & development, project management, develop & coordinate client relationships as well as partnerships of business activities in assigned territory
- Providing support on Operations and HR matters including supervise Admin Officer/Sales Support, recruitments
- Presentation to client and senior management on business proposals, financial and management reports etc
- Prior experience in library and records management consultancy/training preferred but not compulsory
- Organize workshops and conferences for industry partners
- Willing to travel on work assignments
- Undertake and manage projects assigned
- Any other ad hoc work assigned from time to time by the company
Collection Development & Maintenance:
- Master or Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or an equivalent degree
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant working experience in Finance, Admin, Business Support & Development
- Relevant experience in library & archives management and operations, service development, library & archives systems would be advantageous
- Strong networking, multi-tasking, leadership, communication, and customer-service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Excellent English proficiency (both written and oral). Candidate with strong proficiency in Chinese (both written and oral) would be advantageous
- Available immediately or on short notice will be advantageous
